About Me

vicTORIa: the quirky, sarcastic, brutally honest, shy, introverted girl who is a complete contradiction in herself absolutely loves singing, texting, and Boston Terriers. Feeling comfortable around small groups rather than large bodies of people, this homebody would rather be at home, in bed, curled up with a good book, watching Spongebob, browsing Netflix or Hulu, or watching makeup videos on YouTube. Escaping reality for long periods of time, she loves throwing herself into other worlds through books, movies and TV shows. Some of her favorites being Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, the House of Night Series and the Twilight Saga. This future scriptwriter, or maybe even author, hopes to someday help people achieve that same great escape.

What Digital Media Means to Me

Digital media is a way for people to express ideas and thoughts on aspects of everyday life in a creative way that can be seen by the masses. Digital media helps people communicate, come together, and bridges gaps in distances using the internet as its platform. Conveying messages, portraying human expression, and expressing what you view in a creative aspect to share digitally, digital media not only showcases talent that people have, but helps people express themselves in a way that they feel comfortable in. To me, digital media is a way for artists to express themselves as they please, while at the same time, helping them showcase their art in an easy way.

Web Design

The process of creating websites. Compresses several different aspects including webpage layout, content production, and graphic design.

Content Prodcution

Process of developing and creating visual or written assets, such as videos, eBooks, blog posts, whitepapers, or infographics.

Social Networking Site

We define social networking sites as web-based services that allow individuals to (1) construct a public or semi-public profile within a broadband system, (2) articulate a list of other users awith whom they share a common connection, and (3) view and traverse their list of connections and those made by others within their systems.

Coding

A system of signals used to represent letters or numbers in transmitting messages.

Animation

A technique of photographing successive drawings or positions of puppets or models to create an illusion of movement when the movie is shown as a sequence.

Beauty of Pelican Ave

Seeing the beauty in our own neighborhoods is often overlooked by us. We are constantly coming and going without actually viewing and taking in what is around us. I wanted to show the beauty in massses of nature, and the beauty of separation of nature from its source. Pelican Ave is a treausre trove of natural beauty, and I hope that I have accurately portrayed that.
