About Me

My name is Leslie Monique Gonzalez and I am a freshman, but with a junior status. I just graduated from Jimmy Carter Early College High School this past summer and received my associates degree in interdisciplinary studies. My current proceeding major is Multidisciplinary studies where three minors make the major: art, graphic design, and early care and early childhood development. I am a shy person but once you get to know me I do open up a bit. I am a movie freak! I absolutely love them even though sometimes I get emotional with them. Some of my favorite movies being Pride and Prejudice, Dirty Dancing. Inclusively some of favorite TV shows are Smallville, Once Upon A Time, and Bones. Superman is the love of my life, specifically Tom Welling from Smallville, apart from my other love, Tom Cruise. I live and breathe Country Music AKA George Strait. I hear the “weirdest” music, but to me it sounds awesome. I detest the color pink. My dream is to become a well-known chef, so I like to pretend my kitchen is my own five-star restaurant. My favorite color is blue no matter what shade. But, most of all, I am a conflicted contradiction.

What Digital Media Means to Me

Digital Media is a way to express the thoughts and feelings that you keep bottled inside using any form of technology. It allows you to create numerous of things with a lot more ease if you are not as creative with your hands. Digital Media allows others to see a bit of who you are as a person through the means of your work. It’s another form of communicating with people, but on a whole different level. Digital Media allows you to assemble, to order, or even to edit: it is to add value and meaning, to illuminate, to dignify, to transform into poetry that which we create.

Russia JW Letter Campaign

On Saturday March 25, 2017 Brothers and Sisters from my church gathered together early in the morning to write letters of concern to the leaders of Russia. We were determined to write these letters on behalf of our brothers and sisters who are being persecuted by the Russian federation for being Jehovah’s Witnesses. Therefore, I decided to document our process to show how concerned and dedicated we were to write such letters. This time-lapse video shows 5 hrs. of investment we each gave in completing our own letters and helping other brothers and sisters complete theirs. All in all, my main reason for this documentation was to show the teamwork that it takes in supporting a good cause.
