My name is Everardo Chavez; also known as Ever, for short. I’m 23 years old, and was born in McAllen, Texas, 1993. This grizzly bear is fun, crazy, cool, wise, noble, and gets along with everyone. Basically I’m an open-book. One of the main highlights about me is art. I’m an artist in the making, still learning new techniques or any form of technique of art, in the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, or UTRGV. Another element about me is goals. My primary goal in life is to become a university professor, while being an artist on the side, be showing my art work around the states. This encouragement grew out of me because of my mentor, and a good friend of mine, Prof. Thomas Murray; he’s one of the best professors I’ve ever come across and a great artist. The reason I would like to be a professor is to encourage and motivate the young minds to reach the dream of becoming an artist. Very few students have the gift of doing extraordinary works and don’t receive recognition or the motivation to keep doing art. That’s the reason why I want to become a teacher, to teach all ages, and motivate all ages. Every day is a new day, and every day is a new experience; we just have to take a step back for a moment, observe, analyze, and experience.

Digital Meda is the technological side of the art world. It's about creating a piece of art, and transfer it to a computer. Then, you add a spark to it by being creative and adding a litle technology. You can do it anything as long as you have the tools, and know how to use them. They might be tricky at first, but once you overcome, you can do extraordinary things.
Decorate, interpret, concept, and design for integration in published media, such as posters, flyers, magazines, books, etc.
Use your motivation, inspiration, and encouragement to interpret your emotions through art.
Show the world what you're made of. Put all your tools to work and built something extraordinary.
Let your mind, heart, emotions, creativity run wild together as one. It always creates something surreal.
Put your strategies to test. Put every option in the table and go with the one that fulfills your goal.
For every piece of work you've done, you may revise and recreate that piece into something bigger and better.
Jitterz is a coffee shop in Mission. It's my favorite place to escape. Students and citizens go there to have relaxation time, finish work, homework, or simply hang around with people and have good long conversations. Besides that the coffee is off the charts, the atmosphere itself is unique and calm. I'm a coffee lover, so anything that has to do with coffee, I'm there in a heartbeat. Sure, Starbucks has good coffee as well. However, Starbucks coffee shops are always packed and too public. Jitterz is more of a calm, more private joint. These are the reasons why it's one of my favorite placed. Highly recommend for anyone to go.
For this project, I wanted to go a little over than the usual. I’ve seen time lapse of sunsets, dusk, and midnight images in films. The inspiration came from those films. They were a few spots where I could’ve gone, but only one was going to capture the moment I had in mind. In Rio Grande Valley, there are several bridges that have sidewalks for people to walk across. The view from up top is extraordinary. In my hometown, Palmview, my street has a bridge. From that view, you can see that my small town is nice and simple. The sunset from up there is priceless. That’s why I wanted to capture that moment and share it with everyone. As an artist, you go beyond the limits to capture those memorable moments in any form.
